I am only at the sport flying stage, with a few loops, rolls and shaky inverted, but they work for me.The challenges of medical travel don’t stop there. The thing I like about those settings is the fact that I can take off and land in IU, so no pitching or diving when you flick over to and from normal, just don't "drop" the throttle in relief when you've landed, they don't like it lol. I must just add that both my helis, logo500 and Gaui550, are FBL, before anyone shoots me down, not sure if it makes any difference TBH. I always lift off first time in normal, just in case something electronic is having an off day, then put the heli down, set throttle to midstick (that way you know it's not going to go anywhere, as mid stick should be 0*), flick hold off and let the soft start wind it up to speed. My Idle up 1 is set at: Thr curve 85% flat line and Pitch curve 0,25,50,75,100. Depending on your Tx, you either have 1 or 2 idle ups, as well as normal mode.

Hi, my idle up settings are pretty basic, but I learned to fly with them and haven't really looked back. Im sure from the above you can see confusion and im sure one of you can put me on the right path. When generally am i to flick into idle-up? When hovering, just before take off? As I assume this decision is needed now for me to be able to match the Throttle pos on both so there is no "flick"?ĭo i set my idle-up to how i want it and then set normal throttle curve up so that at the point i want to change the throttle pos match? i set about setting it back up earlier but cant really understand how to do it, Well i do but i just have a few questions. Now last year i did set it up but when i flicked it to idle-up the RPM jumped up and the heli flicked up a bit which personally shit me up, i kept it hovering for a short while while i gathered myself and then flicked it back to normal. Ive not flown over winter and now about to get back into it and want to set off on the right foot and get into the habit of using idle up as i have intentions to progress further. Hi, just to fill in quick, Last year i got to point where i was flying my elyQ 50 around just doing some high bank turns and general flying and got confident with doing so, in "normal" mode.
